Buhari Announces Fashola, Amaechi's Ministerial Portfolios
Former governors Babatunde Fashola and Rotimi
Amaechi of Lagos and Rivers states have been appointed as power, works
and housing and transportation respectively.
This was announced by President Muhammadu Buhari during the inauguration of the ministers in Abuja on Wednesday, November 11, 2015.
Fashola had been tipped to emerge as the minister of justice of
federal capital territory, while Amaechi, who was made to wait after
three different postponements.
Earlier today, reports emerged that the president reduced the number
of ministries to about 25 from a possible 29, in a bid to reduce the
number of portfolios for his ministers who were all sworn-in today at
the federal capital territory, Abuja.
